- In the Roku channel store, you can find the PBS app
- Click it to open the next screen that comes with a video
- Activate the display of your Roku and have an activation code under it
- Also available is an Activate Later option for those who just don’t want to activate the app
- Use a Safari, Chrome or Firefox browser to enter the URL in the address bar when you go to pbskids.org/activate on your device and enter this key
- Go to the next move by taping or clicking Continue
- The PBS application requires users to log in to their accounts
- Use your Google credentials or the credentials of your Facebook account to sign in
- You can either click on the Enable PBS Video screen: sign in with Facebook, Login with Google+ or Don’t have an account? Build one here.
- If you do not have a PBS account, you can click on the last option
How to create a PBS account?
- With a PBS account, users can sign in to the pbs.org/activate video app or to any of the PBS pages
- If you want to take advantage of the benefits of a Passport, you still need to have a PBS profile
- Access your profile and have multiple features including Favorite Shows, Watchlist, Watch History and more
- First, go to the account creation page and type your name in the empty box
- Type a valid email address in the following box and then re-enter it to check it
- Passwords must be solid, have at least 8 characters and combine numerals and alphabets
- If you want to see what you are entering, you can also press Display Password
- To complete the account development, click the Register button
- Check the box against the Keep Me Signed In order to stay signed
PBS Passport activation
- First, Open PBS > Click Settings > select Deactivate Device > Confirm Deactivate Device to activate Passport on the Roku
- Then click Activate-> New screen with instructions + activate code
- Go to pbs.org/activate and perform the code entry
